Weight loss is one of the most common reasons people embark on the keto diet. So why is weight loss usually so easy on the ketogenic diet instead of other regular diets?


A Keto diet is high in fat, with a moderate amount of protein and hardly any carbs. As carbs in the diet are reduced and fat is increased, the body enters a state of metabilism called 'ketosis'. The body starts turning fats into ketones, which it can use as energy.


The body begins to use fat from the diet and fat stored in the body as an effective source of energy. After a few days on the diet, the body and brain become very effective at running on fats for fuel instead of carbs.


A ketogenic diet is an effective weight-loss diet, supported by scientific evidence. It is a diet which fills you up and does not require calorie counting. Of course, a Keto diet needs to be followed correctly, and no diet is suitable for everyone.
